OSCAR works with Red Hat and Mandrake. I'm not aware of anyone using it with Suse.
Our goal with OSCAR is to be independent of the distribution. This is difficult due to differing rpm lists and other subtle differences between the distributions. SIS, which sits at the core of OSCAR, works with most Linux distributions. If it supports Suse (and the SIS team follows this mail-list and will probably jump in), it might not be that hard to add Suse support to OSCAR. The key is for someone interested in Suse to join the OSCAR team, do the port, and then help us with the testing (that's why we have mandrake now). --Tim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, September 28, 2002 9:43 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Oscar-users] Suse Linux Is it Possible that i can install Oscar in Suse Linux 6.4 , as that is the os i am using in the office.
