In the archives I found a post saying: "Which version of OSCAR are you using? The later versions do not use LUI, and therefore may not apply to your situation. When the messages come up (during the network boot process) that it is sending DHCP requests, does it list adapter names (i.e. things like eth0 and eth1) or does it only list "lo" as the interface it's listening on? If it is the latter, then your card is not getting set up by the bootdisk, and a newer version may help (anyone have that website with the newer SIS boot kernels?). If it recognizes your card, then make sure the network wiring is good and make sure dhcp is set up properly on the server (and make sure it's been restarted since the last configuration change)"
When the client boots from the boot floppy, the messages that come up DO list "lo" as the interface, and not "eth0". I'm using Oscar 1.2.1rh72. Any advice? Or we could try a different brand NIC I suppose... Teresa W.
