In order to have the client nodes have updated kernels you need to do one of
the following:

1) put the updated kernel rpm (2.4.9-34) in /tftpboot/rpm before building
the install image

2) run 'chroot /var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage up2date' before
installing the client nodes (but after building the image).

3) download the 2.4.9-34 rpm manually and run:

cpush 2.4.9-34...rpm
cexec rpm -ihv 2.4.9...
Tip:
Alternatively to pushing out an rpm to each node, I would suggest sticking it in a shared location, like /home/, and then cexec -c "rpm -ivh /home/rpm_name.rpm". That way the updated rpms aren't unnecessarily replicated on to each node, and NFS appears to be speedier than cpush (uses rsync) as well.

There is no silver bullet. Plus, werewolves make better neighbors than
zombies, and they tend to keep the vampire population down.
