The master node is uni-cpu, kernel is 2.4.18 The slave nodes are dual-cpu,kernel is 2.4.18-smp-7.95
>From master node to slave node, SSH is quite slow, need about 1 minutes to build a SSH connection. Meanwhile, rsh is quite faster, less than 1 seconds. The master nodes and slave nodes are on the same switch. So for SSH based parallel application, like MPICH,the more nodes,I use, the slower. Most of the time is spent on building SSH connection. I use OSCAR1.2. Using the OPEN_SSH shipped together with oscar. What's the reason for building SSH connetion is too slow to use?
