Nothing wrong with that.

But what happens if you want more than 255 nodes in your cluster?

Me, I would consult with your network guy (unless that's you!)
and choose a slightly wider netmask on the Internal side -
giving you room to grow if ever needed.
You don't need to netmask on 255 boundaries at all.
There's plenty of room in a Class A!
