Thanks for for the help. I think you put me onto the right path. I installed a RAID card to increase my data transfer, which might be the problem. Has anyone tried this before? And what can be done so the autoinstall recongizes the partition? I am assuming that the autoinstall is starting before the RAID drivers have a chance to install.
The card is a FastTrak TX 2000, made by Promise Technology inc. And I'm running two IDE drives from it.
