Well, you should have read the installation instructions, then.
You don't need the PGI bundled PBS if you already have a PBS
installation.
When the installation program asks you
This script installs the PGI Cluster Development Kit for the Linux
operating system. See the file INSTALLCDK for more details. Included
in this installation are the PGI compilers and tools as well as the
following open source components:
* MPICH message-passing library
* PBS batch-queuing system
* ScaLAPACK parallel math library
Select a number below to choose which open source
components are to be installed:
1 Install all open source components
2 Install only MPICH and PBS
3 Install only MPICH
Enter a number between 1 and 3:
you should answer "3".
You can run "uninstallcdk" from the distribution CD to uninstall the
PGI suite, and then "installcdk" again, to reinstall it with proper
options.
