I am trying to set up another cluster using oscar 2.1 on RedHat 7.3 on a
Xeon platform
with a Supermicro motherboard. I am using an Intel 1000/F (e1000) fiber
gigabit card. The
problem with the card is that has no PXE boot rom so obviously I figured I
could just
install oscar through the boot floppy. However, the floppy kernel for the
version of SIS
in oscar 2.1 has no driver for the intel e1000 card.
I looked back through the list to see if this issue was discussed before, I
did find some problems
with the e1000 but those were with gigabit intel cards that had PXE booting
ability so the TFTP kernel
had to be changed.
ANY IDEAS???
