We are looking to add support for these (and other) more recent Linux distribution versions in the next version of OSCAR. We expect the next version of OSCAR to be released within the next 6 weeks. When we can successfully install OSCAR on these newer versions, announcements will be made.

I'm looking at using OSCAR for a cluster that I'm setting up at my college.
My biggest concern is ease of maintenance, particularly after the initial
setup is done (i.e., security/software updates). Since RedHat is phasing out
support of older versions quickly, I'm interested in knowing how soon (if it
doesn't already) OSCAR will support RH8 or RH9. The documentation says only
7.2 and 7.3 are supported...will that change in the near future? Is anyone
currently using OSCAR on one of the newer RedHat versions?

Thanks,
