I would simply modify the computational nodes' /etc/resolv.conf file after loading Oscar (create the new file and cpush it to the nodes). Or, you could place the modified resolv.conf file in:

/var/lib/systemimager/images/IMAGE-NAME/etc

before you actually load the nodes. Either way, it is a simple procedure.

Subject: [Oscar-users] nameservers
Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2003 12:23:40 -0700

Hi group:

What's the best way of adding nameservers to the client nodes? I suppose I could push it out to the clients via DHCP (since my nodes are configured to use DHCP) so would I just modify the /etc/dhcpd.conf file and add the nameservers there on the master node?

I notice that the conf file is automatically generated - is there another source I should dig into to modify things?

Thanks!

Bernard
