Hi Reuben:
I have actually tried to get Oscar 2.3 going on RedHat 7.3 previously but the packages simply won't install - so we ended up going with RedHat 9.0.
I believe they changed the way RPMs work in RedHat 8.0/9.0 and thus making it incompatible with RedHat 7.3. And since Oscar v2.3 was developed under 8.0+, it doesn't work with 7.3.
Hopefully there is a way aruond your Fortran problem... I assume that there would be a lot of people have the same problem and hopefully that could be resolved.
Cheers,

Hello,
I tried the archive and have not found answer to this yet, so apologized if it's been asked many times before.
The install manual only explicitly mention it supports Redhat 8 and 9. But is there any strong reason as to why I cannot use Redhat 7.3 as the base operating system?
The problem is that we're trying to use Intel Fortran compiler and mpich with our cluster. After installing RH 9 and OSCAR 2.3, when setting up the compiler with no success, we came upon that the Intel compiler might be incompatible with Redhat 9 (we found out adter googling around).
Hence my question, since we've used the compiler with Redhat 7.x before.
Thanks in advance for any info.
