Hi All,

I'm having trouble installing Oscar / RH 9 on a small cluster I'm building.

All the server packages install fine and I am able to build the client image
ok. However, when I try to PXE boot the client nodes I run into problems. A
node will receive an IP address from the DHCP server and tftp the kernel and
initrd.img files across. Everything then appears to work fine until
SystemImager issues the DHCPDISCOVER requests. At this point it appears that
the nodes are only issuing DHCP requests on the lo interface, and not on
eth0. When no DHCP server is found I end up at the BusyBox shell prompt.
ifconfig then shows that indeed only the loopback interface is configured.

It appears that the SystemImager kernel is not detecting the NIC in the
nodes. Each node is a Shuttle XPC SN42G2 with FN41 mainboard, NVIDIA nForce2
chipset and RealTek 8201BL onboard NIC. I had a look at the SystemImager
config files and it looks like the appropriate network drivers (8139too or
rtl8139) are correctly compiled in so I'm surprised that the NIC is not
working.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Best wishes,

Andrew
