Thanks, but... I wouldn't ask the question on the OSCAR mailing list if it wouldn't be OSCAR-related.
I know how to setup sw-raids and getting an image with "getimage" from a golden client with sw-raid works fine. But I'd like to use the OSCAR framework and create sw-raids in client images by specifying it in the disk table provided to the image builder. Is that possible?
Until now I found the following alternatives: - build the image with some disktable - replace the /etc/systemimager/autoinstallscript.conf file in the image with one containing raid definitions - don't forget to add /etc/raidtab file in the image! - re-execute mkautoinstallscript to get the raid stuff in.
This obviously needs direct System Imager support long term. Short term, maybe if you modified the lines which create the initrd you'd be done? Sounds like you're close.

This works so far, only the created initrd is bad and I couldn't boot from raid.
Would be nice to know whether there's an easier way...
