Since MAUI is turned on by default in the OSCAR installation and it seems to have a default limit of 4096 simultaneous running/idle jobs, this seems to be causing problems as openPBS does not have this limit.
I'm seeing tons of job buffer overflow in the maui.log and I am not sure whether this is hampering the operation of the system.
Just wondering if there is a way to set up PBS so that it will limit the number of jobs that can go on a queue and if not is there a way to get around this in MAUI (I notice that you can limit the MAXJOB and MAXIJOB by group in MAUI).
Any advice/suggestions welcome.
No idea what's going on there... but there doesn't seem to be any PBS option to limit the number of jobs in a queue. You might want to hit the Maui support folks about the buffer errors...
