Plimaye,
I think I saw this problem some time ago and never really chased it
up. The problem is that the kernel-picker generates an image name that
doesn't match what SystemImager uses. A quick fix is the edit the file
/var/lib/systemimager/images/IMAGENAME/etc/systemconfig/systemconfig.conf and fix the
entry "DEFAULTBOOT" to match one of the "LABEL" entries.
