The difference between /dev/sda1 and /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0 is just representation - they should essentially just mean the same thing.
So in otherwords, it is not necessary for you to change the oscarimage.sample file.
I have a feeling that you have not copied us the important error messages because so far the messages look fine (at least to me).
I would recommend you try to reboot the computer that was imaged by OSCAR and see if it actually boots up. I have a bunch of nodes which I used OSCAR to image and for whatever reason it bails out during the SIS imaging process but that is actually ok - when I reboot it the image actually works fine.
Give that a shot, otherwise try to take a closer look at the error logs and see if you can come up with something else.

A df of my head node reveals:

i.e., they're not using /dev/sda1 and the like, but rather /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1. However, this is a freshly created filesystem, so I don't know what's going on.
I have made my partition file as follows:

I had the same errors when the above partitions said /dev/sda1 and the like. (i.e. if you were to run
s#/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part#/dev/sd# on the above file with #'s as substitution delimiters.)
Anyone have any ideas?
