Yep... you just have to remember the components to have on each machine.
*  kernel
*  module tree
*  ramdisk

So after you get all these in place on one machine, copy them out to the other machines as well. You may want to tar up the module tree for simplicity. I assume you know how to make the 3 components I listed above. Anyway... then edit lilo.conf from one of the nodes, re-run lilo, and try rebooting. (reboot just one at first to make sure it works of course) ;-)
I don't know if you've made a practice of keeping your image up to date w/ you nodes or not, but keep in mind that you'd have to update the image with these components as well if you wish for fresh built nodes to come up w/ the new kernel. Updating the image's default kernel is a bit more tricky though, as there's no lilo.conf file in the image. This might not be important to you anyway, so I'll leave that out right now.
I've cc'd the oscar-users list for tracking.

p.s. You probably are already using this, but just in case:

Jeremy,
  Can you upgrade a kernel on a Linux system without the proper kernel
rpms? I'm preparing to upgrade a kernel on a test machine, for practice,
to version 2.6 (kernel version) from 2.4.18 but I can't find on the web
the kernel rpms that go with the 2.6 version. I find the actuall 2.6
kernel on the web but not the kernel rpms. Is there a way to install the
kernel without having the proper rpms associated with it? I will still
be looking on the web for answers too.
