Ian,
Was the final state after install to "halt"? If so, then you can
ignore it. The halt script in the systemimaging software had a bug,
which has been fixed in later versions. Effectively it had the correct
effect, just warning messages.
Note that a reboot option works fine, but I'm not sure that the "beep"
option works, as I've never tried it.
