Ok, I now have RedHat 9.0 installed on my machine. However, I am running into the same problem. Is there somewhere I can check to see what script is trying to be run, when it says Illegal instruction. I also saw someone modified their /etc/exports and their /etc/fstab files. Do you think I'll have to do that? If so, what do I change? I'm also not too familiar with SSH, I saw something about problems with that, in one of the emails. Let me know how you would troubleshoot the problem.
