I got it to work!
Well it starts to load the autoinstall scripts at least.

I had download, patch and compile a 2.4.24 kernel it to get BCM5700 support, which turned out to be easier than I thought.

The make is Broadcom 5788 and its intergrated into the Shuttle SB75G2 mobo.

Not any more!

Will try this if I fail to progress from here.

My current situation: It downloads the the autoinstall scripts and then fails when it tries to partition the client HDD:

"Partitionaing /dev/hda ...
Old partition table for /dev/hda:
Error: Could not stat device /dev/hda - No such file or directory.
parted -s -- /dev/hda mklabel msdos || shellout
Error: Could not stat device /dev/hda - No such file or directory.

write variable
" and then the rote message

My disk is a Maxtor S-ATA, with a Intel ICH5-R onboard controller.
Maybe my boel_binaries need fixing too?
At least I've made a little bit of progress.

Thanks

Eugene

I found another kernel from Jeremy Enos by searching the list that does support my NIC, unfortunately something else goes wrong when his ramdisk image is mounted and I end up with a kernel panic similar to the one reported
