Hmm...  not to confuse other people, I meant to say 'OPD' in my previous email, not 'ODA' ;-)

Torque is currently available for OSCAR 3.0 in OPD.  If you already have PBS installed, you will need to fix a simple bug in the uninstall scripts prior to uninstalling.  Let me know if this is the case.
If you're using an older version than 3.0 of OSCAR, then the Torque rpms would still work, but you would have to add/remove the packages manually of course.

Hi David:

If you are using OSCAR-3.0, there should already be a Torque package from ODA.  Not sure if it will work with older versions of OSCAR though - Jeremy will be able to comment more on this.

Basically what you need to do is remove the pbs package and then install the torque package...

FYI, I believe Torque = SPBS - it's just the new name ;-)

P.S. I am working on a SGE package right now if you are also interested in that...

Subject: [Oscar-users] torque or spbs

Has torque or spbs been implemented in place of openpbs in any of the versions of OSCAR?
Is this planned in the future?

Has anyone successfully replaced the distributed version of openpbs with Torque?

Thanks in advance,

David
