Hi, thanks to all for your hints. I'm going with a fresh RH9 + Oscar 4.0 installation and I'll keep in mind the "grub instead of lilo" trick :-). I've one more question. Where does it came from the default partitioning scheme?
I dont' understand why it use small partitions (24meg and 128meg) for /boot and [swap]. The question is (are): - does they came from a "legacy" config for old, low profile machines? - does the numbers aren't MBytes? (should I be redirected to the install guide via a RTFM shortcut? :-) thank you very much ivan -- ______________________ www.bio.dist.unige.it +39 010 353.2789 (tel) +39 010 353.2948 (fax) ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
