Title: [Oscar-users] Error in Step 4
Hi:

I hope when you say 'installed ALL of the rpms' you just meant copy all of them to /tftpboot/rpm.  It is not necessary to install any RPMs manually on the server, the necessary RPMs will be installed by the OSCAR installer if needed.

Also, what do you mean by renaming your image?  You shouldn't need to manually touch the image.

From the error message, it seems that your rpmlist contains vmi-devel and krb5-devel - did you add them manually?  If you did add them manually, you have to also add all the other RPMs which these RPMs depend on to the list, otherwise the image creation process will bail.

Cheers,

Bernard

Subject: [Oscar-users] Error in Step 4

I have installed a fresh copy of Fedora Core 2, with no updates. I get
all the way to Step for and get this error message.

error: Failed dependencies:
        curl-devel >= 7.8 is needed by vmi-devel-2.0.b3p1-1
        e2fsprogs-devel is needed by krb5-devel-1.3.3-1

I have also installed ALL of the rpms from the 4 cds. There seems to me
many inconsistencies, because if I rename my image to 'image1', the
compilation makes it all the way to the ends,, but bombs on the post
install script. What have I done wrong?
