Hi Susanne: On a OSCAR cluster, the DHCP server and the image server are both on the headnode. If you want to use another server as the DHCP server, it's possible but a little tricky. Basically the installation process assumes that your headnode is the DHCP server, so each time you made any DHCP-related modifications (namely mods to /etc/dhcpd.conf), it has to be copied to your designated DHCP server manually.
It is not necessary to copy the images to the DHCP server - the image server will still reside on your cluster's headnode.
