Good point!

I would say that statement was intended to get across the fact that
the same operating system as the server needs to be -able- to be
installed on each of the compute nodes.  For example if the server
node has all linux compatable hardware and the compute nodes all have
windows friendly hardware, there could be problems.

Also there are issues with licensing for distros like RH Enterprise
that we want people to be aware of, since each of the nodes ends up
with an installation of the OS on the head node rather than, say, the
cheaper workstation installation.

I'll make sure thats on our list of document fixes!
