When installing oscar on the FC2 x86_64 distro, there are problems with Oscar recognising the distribution as well as some rpms that would need to be recompiled for it to work. I presume this is the problem your non-32 bit setup.
I am not extremely familiar with the setup you are refering to, but if you are willing to help us out with x86_64 development and testing we can take this to the oscar-devel list. Right now we are working on getting Oscar 4.1 out the door, but once that happens I think this is on the todo list. It is on mine anyway :) On Wed, 23 Mar 2005 16:55:15 +0100, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thanks Salvatore, > > I also installed Oscar on my server in 32bits. > > But, now I tried to have Oscar running with extended64 system installed. > > So, at first, I am trynig to force Oscar up to wizard display, installing > with i386 architecture. > > I meet errors, and I would like to know if someone did it, before an emt64 > Oscar version is available. > > Nadine > > ---------------------- Rachemin par Nadine Vandois/FR/BULL sur 23/03/2005 > 16:37 --------------------------- > > Salvatore Di Nardo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>@lists.sourceforge.net sur > 22/03/2005 15:23:18 > > Envoy par : [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Pour : OSCAR <[email protected]> > cc : > Objet : Re: [Oscar-users] Installing OSCAR in ia32 on x86_64 > > I installed FC2 32 bit on dual opteron ( AMDx64) nodes, and had not any > trouble. > > On Tue, 2005-03-22 at 15:26, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hello, > > I have installed RHEL AS 3 U4 on a server. > My system is in x86_64 (extended 64). > > As Oscar doesn't yet exist in x86_64, I would like to force the > installation of Oscar in ia32 (I would like it works as if the system > runs > ia32). > > How can I modify Oscar (scripts, or configuration files) to obtain > this ? > > Best regards, > Nadine > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide > Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real > users. > Discover which products truly live up to the hype.
