Title: [Oscar-users] Can OSCAR work well on x86_64 opteron ??
Hi Steven:

x86_64 is currently not supported, but you can install a x86 (32-bit) Linux distribution and it will work fine.

Eg. Red Hat 9, Fedora Core 2 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.

P.S. OSCAR requires an underlying Linux distribution to be installed on your headnode, prior to installation.  For more information, please refer to the OSCAR installation docs.

Cheers,

Bernard

Subject: [Oscar-users] Can OSCAR work well on x86_64 opteron ??

Hello all,

I am wondering whether OSCAR for x86_64 plans to be released.
This would be extremely useful.

If not, is it possible to get the i386 working on x86_64 when the
AMD 32bit compatibility libraries are installed?

And I want to know how I can build OSCAR4.0 on x86_64 opteron ??

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Cheers,
S.Yue
