Steven:
Currently OSCAR cannot be used to deploy a
cluster composed of mixed hardware (ia64 and x86 at the same time).
However, what you can do is build them separately, and use one PBS Server to
control all the compute nodes - this should be doable (although I have not tried
this myself).

to make them work together and how?
