Hi Steven:
 
Boot your node using the first CD of RHEL3 (rescue CD) - you should get a modules.conf file in the /tmp directory.  Try to copy the contents of this file and re-create it in your image (put it in /var/lib/systemimager/images/etc/modules.conf) - then re-image the node.  See if that helps.

architecture:   ia64
OS:             redhat enterprise linux 3 update 2
problem:      when i reboot the newly installed client node after it toke me that
               successfully installed the client node, the kernel complained and halt
               during the boot process :

kmod : failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k block -major -8, error -2
VFS : cannot open root device "sda6" or 08:06
     please appended a correct "root=" boot option
kernel panic : VFS :Unable to mount root fs on 08:06

does anyone knows how to solve this problem ?
