Building my own boot package is leading to errors too. Anyway, here is some information about the segfault I get with http://world.anarchy.com/~peter/systemimager/kernel. It appears to happen during the loading of the filesystem drivers:
insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.25-boel_v3.4.1: No such file or directory Using /lib/modules/2.4.25-boel/kernel/fs/jfs/jfs.o kernel BUG at slab.c:815: invalid operand: 0000 .........[ debug / traceback info ].............. segmentaion fault Since the system locks up, there's no easy way to copy all of the segfault information, but I'll copy the rest if it will help.
