We usually recommend a vanilla install of the Operating System (without
updates) prior to OSCAR installation - you can update the server after
the fact and please let us know if you run into issues.

Currently OSCAR 4.1 does not support the x86_64 version of RHEL3 (or 4),
our next release will support it.

If you are interested in testing it, you can either check code out of
our SVN repository or d/l the nightly tarball available via our website.
