Hi Carlos: Currently with OSCAR 4.1, you can only install a x86 OS on AMD64. However, in our next release, we will support x86_64 so you can install a 64-bit OS on your AMD64 cluster.
Which Linux distribution do you plan to use? Our nightly tarball currently support x86_64 for RHEL3 and 4, perhaps you can give that a try and report back any issues at [email protected]: http://oscar.openclustergroup.org/nightly Cheers, Bernard > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > Carlos Vasco Ortiz > Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 4:00 > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Oscar-users] Oscar on AMD64 > > We have been using OSCAR in our last 3 clusters, with PIV 2. > , 2.66 and > finally 3.0 Ghz... > Now we want to build a new cluster, and AMD64 seems the best > option.
