Hi,
As my PC bios does not support I tried to use etherboot, but I have a kernel panic message after I boot my client and the message is as follows:
..............
pivot_root: No such file or directory
/sbin/init: 432: cannot open dev/console : No such file.
kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
The following are some of the steps I followed in this process and could someone please tell me the correct procedure:
1. I created a Etherboot image for my rtl networkcard (using http://rom-o-matic.net/5.4.0/ for simplicity) and I could boot my client with the boot floppy created from this image. At this point DHCP is already set by OSCAR, but the tftp server is not ready.
2. My client image is located in the following :
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage$ ls
bin   dev  home    initrd.img  media  opt   root  srv  tmp  var
boot  etc  initrd  lib         mnt    proc  sbin  sys  usr  vmlinuz
3. I created the boot image using
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage$ mkelf-linux --output=/tftpboot/pxelinux.0 boot/vmlinuz boot/initrd.map
4. I made necessary changes in the /etc/exports and restarted nfsd.
5. I booted the client and the IP address was received from the DHCP server, but the boot process halted with the above message:
The docs Iam that Iam reading are basically for diskless clients and so Iam bit unsure about the steps that I need to follow for network installing my clients built by OSCAR.  So could you please tell me the correct procedure.
Thankyou and hope to hear from you regarding this..
