Did you reboot the nodes after you rebooted the head node before you rand postinstall? The way OSCAR is set up, the NFS mounted home directories will stop working if you reboot the head node. The postinstall requires they be there. Try rebooting the head, waiting for it to be all the way up, then reboot the nodes. Once they are all happy, fire up the post install again. Also check your "/etc/hosts" file on all the machines and make sure they are sane. Incorrect host files can cause behavior like that too.
