Thanks a million for the help Bernard! After looking through the install log I
could see that I was missing several RPM besides already have TFTP installed.
I added them and removed the RPMs that you suggested below and bam it worked...
J The log that I was showing you was from a
failed attempt using 4.1. I did a startover and installed 4.2 and I'm
excited to use the client deploy tool that you added. Also, I like the other
little changes that you made with the status bars and so on. Great job! From: Bernard Li
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi Mike: Yes, it is tftp-server. It seems
that you did a "server" installation instead of
"workstation" installation. To fix the imminent problem, you'll need
need to remove the system-config-netboot RPM which depends on tftp-server
before you can uninstall tftp-server. There may be other dependencies so
maybe re-installing as "workstation" may be easier. Also, this doesn't look like OSCAR 4.2 -
which version are you installing? Cheers, Bernard From: Johnston
Michael J Contr AFRL/DES [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm sorry Bernard, I'm not sure how to
post this and it's the only way that I can get the log file out of the area
where the cluster is. If we figure out what's wrong, I'll post it to
forum. Could it be the wrong TFTP server? I'm going to go check
that now. Mike From: Bernard Li
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Can you post your installation typescript? It is recommended you go with the latest
4.2 release version. Cheers, Bernard From:

AFRL/DES The hard drive on my master node just blew up so I'm trying
to install OSCAR but I'm having some problems. I downloaded 4.2 from the
site and did these steps:
After I ran that last command I get this error: ################################################################# ./wizard_prep line 93 OSCAR wizard preparation script failed to complete at
./install_cluster line 212 ################################################################# So I went to the nightly snapshot and downloaded the most
recent version and got the same problem. I then downloaded 4.1 and got
the same problem. I'm convinced that it's not OSCAR with the problem...It
must be me since it fails on three version. What am I missing? I'm
running Fedora C2 with no updates installed. All my rpms in the
/tftpboot/rpm directory came off the same CD's that I installed the OS with. |
