Hi Jerome:

On your headnode (I presume "editr"), what's the output of:

# telnet localhost 8649 | grep "<HOST"

Can you make sure that gmetad and gmond are both running on your
headnode?  Also, please show us the output of:

# cexec /etc/init.d/gmond status
