You've got to replace Maui - The one shipped with 4.2 causes problems.
We just download 3.2.6p14 from
http://www.clusterresources.com/pages/products/maui-cluster-scheduler.php
compile and install it in /usr/local/maui, replace the maui that comes with oscar and it
works like a dream.

You can use the maui.cfg that comes with OSCAR or the one that comes with
the new installation - what ever you prefer.

Good Luck,
ALex

Actually now that you mentioned it, I remember vaguely Michael saying there was some bug with the MAUI that we include in 4.2.1.  Jerome, perhaps you can try updating the RPM from trunk and see if that works (you'll need to rebuild the SRPM on FC3 x86_64):

Cheers,

Bernard

Hi, good morning from here....

Yesterday I had got the problem with time use in Torque, and we updated
to torque 2.0.0p5 from trunk. Then maui daemon stopped just after being
started, and maui.log reported something similar to Jerome's log. I them
updated also maui from the trunk, and now it seems to work OK. Maui is
running, and torque reports time use correctly.

Maybe this helps,

Carlos
