The case does matter, I've corrected the FAQ item, thanks for pointing it out.

 

It should be:

 

export DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMS=y (all upper case except for "y").

 

Try that again, it should work.

I have attached the log to this email. I noticed something with the

 

# export DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMs=y

 

In the FAQ the "s" is a lower case but in your email you mentioned an upper case S

wouldn't that make a difference?

 

In any event,

 

I closed the OSCAR GUI,

# export DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMs=y

and then

#./install_cluster eth0

 

but it still doesnt show me any missing RPMS.

FAQ item:

To be able to see what RPMs failed to install, enable debugging for update-rpms by doing the following:

# export DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMs=y  

and re-start OSCAR Wizard and Step 4. Now the RPMs that failed to install will be listed.

After you exported the DEBUG_UPDATE_RPMS variable, did you re-run install_cluster?  As far as I know this should work.  Which version of OSCAR are you using?

 

Perhaps you can post your oscarinstall.log - if it's bigger than 50k, then please compress it before sending.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have double checked that all the rpms have been copied to /tftpboot/rpm
Also read through the release notes, it mentions the $IMAGEDIR, would that be /opt/oscar ?

and when i follow the FAQ option, it still doesnt show which rpm is missing.

You are likely missing some RPMs in /tftpboot/rpm.  You might also want to read up on the release notes, specially for RHEL3 if you have not already done so.
