Hi Mike:

The xpbsmon issue is fixed in newer versions of TORQUE, but if you do not want to upgrade, you can patch it using this patch:

The instructions got stripped out from that message, but here you go:

---
The patch is meant to be used on the source tree, but if you have an installed version of TORQUE, you can also patch it by doing the following:

1) cd $PBS_HOME/lib/xpbsmon
2) patch -p3 < xpbsmon.patch
---

Regarding the second issue, I believe that is fixed in a newer version of TORQUE, you can try to upgrade it to the latest version we have in our 5.0 branch:

Cheers,

Bernard

Subject: [Oscar-users] xpbsmon upgrade

I was showing a user the other day how to use xpbsmon to view what jobs are running on the nodes of my cluster and I noticed something strange.  When I click on a node a box for the node pops up for a split second and then disappears.  After that I’m unable to click on anything else in that window.  I have to close it and reopen.  Is this a problem with PBS that could be fixed with an upgrade?

Also, I noticed that when I do a “qstat –a” I can see all the jobs running, but the run times for each job is 0:00.  In an older version of Oscar (version 4 I think) I used to get the run times.  Thanks for the help and keep up the good work!

Mike
