Hi I have been encountering a problem that resembles a thread on the mailing list - 'SATA/SAS installation issue'. The cluster I am building consists of a 14 of Dell Poweredge 1950 Servers. The master node having two 300GB SAS disks and the compute nodes a single 32GB SAS disk each.
At first when trying to image the clients I was getting this error: NO DISK DEVICE FILES WERE FOUND. THIS USUALLY MEANS THE KERNEL DID NOT RECOGNIZE ANY OF THE ATTACHED DISKS. So I tried putting a hardware.lst file in the specified place in my image. Still the same error. After that I tried the UYOK option with hardware.lst still in place. The clients appeared to image ok but when I rebooted them I got a kernel panic like that in the thread mentioned above. The info below was gathered from a standalone install of redhat on one of the clients. I used this info to try and set up the hardware.lst Has anyone had success with similar kit or got any suggestions of what to try next?
