Hi Erich

Thanks for your reply. In my hardware.lst I tried this line:

1000 0054 scsi mptsas

and then when it did not work I replaced it with

1000 0054 scsi mptscsih

I can't remember what led me to try that line. In the end I tried several
lines at the same time as I was not sure how to tell which one was the right
one:

1000 0054 scsi mptbase
1000 0054 scsi mptscsi
1000 0054 scsi mptfc
1000 0054 scsi mptspi
1000 0054 scsi mptsas
1000 0054 scsi mptscsih
1000 0054 scsi sd_mod
1000 0054 scsi scsi_mod

I've just been looking at the dmesg output from the standalone install and
it contains:

I'm using RHEL4 Update 4. I noted that the OSCAR install guide said not to
apply any updates until after the cluster was installed. I was not sure if
this applied to 'service pack' type updates.

I will take a look at a client in rescue mode tomorrow and also try putting
my /etc/modprobe.conf in the image.
