I'm building a small cluster (right now 4 nodes). I installed Oscar 5.0 over Scientific Linux 4. Each node has 2 ethernet devices which receive a different name on reboot: any of them can become 'eth0' or 'eth1'. This rotation of names results inconvenient.
The standard solution is using the 'HWADDR' parameter on '/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-<interface-name>', associating one MAC address to one device name. As MAC address is different for each configured node, I can't "hardcode" this on the image. How does Oscar generate node's network configuration files? I haven't found anything at /var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth<x>. -- ############################## ### Jordi Funollet ### http://www.terraquis.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
