Torque requires that the /etc/hosts on the server be set up like

x.x.x.x hostname.hostdomain hostname
x.x.x.x internalname.internaldomain internalname
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

where the address of hostname.hostdomain is the IP that users outside the
cluster would see (the external network interface) and the address of the
internal interface (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x) should be on the
internalname.internaldomain line.

The name that comes up when you do `hostname` should be on the external
interface, and the internal interface should be the one you call when you do
"install_cluster eth0"

I have gotten errors like this when I have the hostnames set up strangely in
/etc/hosts.

Hello OscarCluster Gurus:

I need a HUGE help from you guys. I am already at a lost trying to figure
out what was wrong for 7 straight days now (last 2 days without much sleep).
I think I have exhausted all avenues like google, oscar faq, oscar docs,
oscar-users and devel mail archives but can't seem to find the solution. I
need to install oscar and make my 11-node cluster running so I can get data
in time for my very near deadline for graduation. Here are the particulars:

Oscar Version: 5.0
Linux distro and version: Fedora Core 5
Hardware type: x86
Step where problem was encountered: Step 7
oscarinstall.log: http://papernapkin.org/pastebin/view/5827
typescript: none performed (sorry, I didn't think I'll encounter this
problem)
no 3rd party packages installed or downloaded

Thanks a lot for the help.
