You certainly can install MPICH2 on an OSCAR cluster, but there is not an OSCAR package for it since no one has made one yet.
MPICH2 is simply a different MPI implementation from MPICH1, if you are going to install MPICH2 on your OSCAR cluster I would simply not install MPICH1 at all. OSCAR includes three different MPI implementations (LAM/MPI, OpenMPI, and MPICH) by default but they are all optional packages and can be unchecked during the "Select OSCAR Packages" step if you do not need them.
