I am preparing building a cluster. I should try to realize a demostation
with 2 computer, one i386 and another x86_64, at first. I have built the
oscar client image in my x86_64 machine with the centos4.5.
Now I'm wondering how to obtain the client image for the i386 client,
because i got a x86_64 rpms based repository in the server node.
I have 3 questions about the oscar:
1. how to build a heterogeneous cluseter with the oscar suite, such as
x86_64 server and i386 clients? Is there some step by step directions?
2. which type cluster is the oscar suitable to be built? is it competent for
a hpc cluster?
3. both the server and clients are based on x86_64 architecture cpus, but
their hardware have some differences, such as capacity of disk, mothermoard,
network card. is it practical to build an oscar cluster in this case?
