pfilter is not being maintained currently, and is off by default because it
had various problems on many different systems, but not all, and not
reliably.
Generally those problems showed up during image download, where it would
just hang forever at some random point.
You could test it by stopping the pfilter service and trying the tests
again. Probably just on the head node would be sufficient.
