Dear All,
I have some old P3 computers and I want to build a cluster for testing
purpose, but got some problems:
I first installed Oscar 5.0 on OpenSuse 10.0; the installation on the master
node is fairly smooth. Interestingly, the master node is able to collect
the Mac addresses for the clients, but the clients, each has 3Com PXE
enabled network card, was unable to find the DHCP ( with PXE-E51 error) . I
confirmed that the "Enable Install Mode" and "Setup Network Boot" buttons
have been pressed..
Then I turned to Fedora Core 8 for i386 and oscar 5.1 beta 2 and
5.1rc1 nightly builds, since I had build a P4 oscar 5.0 cluster with Fedora
Core 5 before, and I believe this combination would be more stable.
But the installation stuck at Step 4; after the server
packaged successfully installed, I pressed the "Build OSCAR client image"
but the popup window did not come up as expected, in the log file, I got the
following messages
"Tk::Error: Can't set -options to `ARRAY(0xabba73c)' for
Tk::Optionmenu=HASH(0xaf3f894): No -label at
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i386-linux-thread-multi/Tk/Widget.pm line
256
at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i386-linux-thread-multi/Tk/Derived.pm
line 2"
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
