The head node can't log the imaging unless it has a route to
communicate with the compute nodes which it doesn't seem to, so the
only thing I get from your install log is that the imaging failed.

Try the 10.x.x.x network, that's still my most helpful thought at this
point since that cause matches all the symptoms you are describing and
is fairly simple to do.

After that you'll have to look into bad drivers and such if that
doesn't work.  I might suggest trying RHEL5 and the OSCAR 5.1 beta at
that point instead, and hope that the drivers are just better in RHEL5
and the problem magically vanishes.
