Since ssh appears to be working correctly, and you aren't using a
scheduler, you might want to take this to the openmpi list.  It looks
offhand like your oscar setup is correct as far as it matters to
mpich.

I have used OFED, and I did have some issues getting started, but they
weren't oscar related.

Have you run a basic "hello world" type program?
