Hi,
I want to build a hybrid cluster network with using OSCAR on centos 4.7 and
Windows hpc pack 2008 on windows hpc server 2008,
first i deploy linux image on compute nodes , and i made some changes in
"scsi.disk" file for using this method for dual boot cluster network , here
is my "scsi.disk" file:
/dev/sda1 100 ext3 /boot defaults
/dev/sda2 10000 swap
/dev/sda3 70000 ext3 / defaults
nfs_oscar:/home - nfs /home rw
Compute nodes have 160GB HDD each , so in this case i have about 80GB not
allocated storage on each HDD , so i can use that for deploying windows ,
anyway my problem isnt with Hard partioninig on them , i have a problem with
dhcp on linux and windows that made some confilict in my network, so i have
a problem with booting compute nodes for windows deployment , and it cant
boot compute nodes via pxe , i set ip linux head node ip address to
10.0.0.1and windows head node ip address to
10.0.1.1 , i have to head node computer , one for linux and another for
windows , i want to know make linux DHCP service stop can harm my cluster
network?! i can start it again after completeion of windows deployment.also
what should i do with to dhcp server on this cluster network?! do u have any
tip for making hybrid cluster net with oscar?!
I read this
tip<http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/trac/oscar/wiki/TipWindowsAndLinux>before
it cant help for intalling on one hard drive and also it didnt give
any tips about dhcp services ,,,,
Also i have just one ethernet card on each compute node, so i cant use one
for windows and another for linux.
Cheers.
